Blood
Bank of Delmarva
Blood Bank of Delmarva is a non-profit
organization that provides over 100,000 units of blood each
year to hospitals in Delaware and on Maryland’s Eastern
Shore. Members receive coverage in exchange for their support.
If you would expect to use any of the hospitals supplied by
the Blood Bank for emergencies or planned surgery, you should
become a member and support the Blood Bank. Each year in our
area, over 20,000 patients need blood transfusions.
If you or anyone covered by your membership uses blood, at
any hospital that requires blood replacement, the Blood Bank
will replace it or pay the cost of replacing it. While health
insurance plans cover testing and processing fees, the cost
of blood itself is usually not covered. Non-members are billed
for any blood they use or may replace it pint for pint.
Blood Bank membership:
- Covers unlimited blood replacement
at any hospital in Delaware and throughout Maryland’s
Eastern Shore, including Cecil County.
- Is limited to $400 per hospital stay
at any other hospital in the United States.
- Includes the member, spouse and anyone
who can be claimed as a tax dependent.
- Coverage begins 30 days after your
enrollment form is received.
Members agree to take a turn providing
blood about once every 18-24 months. You don’t have
to give blood yourself; you can provide blood by either:
- giving blood yourself or
- having someone else give blood for
you or
- paying $30 (the cost of one pint of
blood).
Members also pay an
annual membership fee of $5 to help support the cost of operating
the Blood Bank, a non-profit organization. (For those age
65 and over, the fee is only $2 after the first year.) Membership
enrollment forms are available in the Credit Union lobby.

Deposit
Tired of taking time to deposit your paycheck? Would you like
to have all of your pay available for immediate use on payday?
Now you can get your pay the safe and reliable way, using
Direct Deposit.
With Direct Deposit, your employer sends a credit to the Credit
Union and your funds are deposited into your account automatically
on payday. Most likely, your employer will provide a statement
on payday indicating the amount of money credited to your
account.
Direct Deposit is a safer way of getting
your pay, because your check can’t be lost or stolen.
Wherever you are on payday – traveling on business,
away on vacation or sick at home – your money is deposited
automatically.
Signing up for Direct Deposit is easy and free. Ask your employer
for a Direct Deposit authorization form today, and soon, you’ll
be getting your pay the safe and reliable way.
When completing the Direct Deposit authorization form, you'll
need to include the routing number for Perry Point Federal
Credit Union which is 2550 7774 9. You'll need to indicate
whether you want the money deposited into your savings or
checking account. When listing your account number on the
form, DO NOT include the two-digit suffix (i.e.: 01 for savings
or 02 for checking), as they are not necessary – use
only your four, five, or six-digit member number.

Entertainment
Discounts
We offer our members discounts to
the area’s most popular amusements. Savings are available
year-round to the movie theaters, Medieval Times Dinner & Tournament and Caesars Pocono Resorts. Discounts to the theme
parks are available during their regular operating seasons.
A few destinations have some limitations, be sure to ask before
picking up your tickets or discount coupons.

All tickets must be
purchased at the Credit Union. Theme park tickets can be used
any day of the regular operating season. (NOTE: We have some
tickets with even greater discounts on selected days at certain
parks.) Movie tickets can be used anytime, even for new releases.
There are some restrictions with the Medieval Times tickets
and the dinner reservation must be made at the time the ticket
is purchased. Contact our office for all the details and prices.
While we try to maintain a supply of tickets to all these
amusements at all times, an unexpected demand may cause us
to run out for a while. Plan to buy your tickets as far in
advance as possible to ensure we will have what you need when
you need it. We also have free discount coupons for Caesars
Pocono Resorts, Dorney Park and Wildwater Kingdom.

send or receive documents. The fee is $1 per page being faxed
out. There is no fee for incoming faxes. If you are having

you on the cover page, along with a daytime telephone number

Guaranteed
Asset Protection (GAP)
You could lose more than your vehicle
if it is stolen or involved in a major accident. You could
lose your investment. Because most insurance policies only
cover the value of your vehicle – something that rapidly
declines during the first few years of ownership – your
loan balance could be higher than the value of your vehicle.
Now you can protect your vehicle with Guaranteed
Asset Protection (GAP). GAP is a non-insurance product and
is made available via a loan deficiency waiver that covers
the “gap” between the vehicle’s value and
the amount you still owe. Essentially, GAP protects you and
your entire investment from substantial loss.
GAP was designed for all drivers, whether you finance a new
or used vehicle. It covers automobiles, vans, light trucks
(not exceeding a 1 ton load capacity), and motorcycles. GAP
coverage goes into effect when you need it most – when
your vehicle is stolen and isn’t recovered or it is
totaled in an accident and can’t be repaired.
GAP covers the difference between your
primary carrier’s insurance settlement and the amount
of your loan, less any delinquent payments, late charges,
refundable service warranty contracts, and other insurance
related charges. Included in this difference is your insurance
deductible, which is limited to $1,000.
The following is a typical example of how
GAP comes through for you:

PLUS, if you finance a replacement
vehicle at our credit union within 90 days of when your vehicle
was determined to be a total loss, you’ll receive an
additional benefit of $1,000 to be used toward the purchase
of the replacement vehicle.
Your cost for this valuable coverage is
only $199. We can include the fee in your loan proceeds if
you don’t want to pay for it out of pocket. Our fee
is hundreds of dollars less than car dealers charge for similar
coverage (and they usually don’t offer the $1,000 replacement
vehicle benefit) so your credit union membership saves you
even more. Our GAP coverage is not available for vehicles
financed elsewhere, only for new and used vehicles financed
with us.

The Motor Vehicle Certification Program
(MVCP) has been linking consumers with dealers since 1984.
MVCP is a FREE complete buying service that helps you with
the purchase of a new or used car. With MVCP, you’ll
get all the facts – manufacturer’s invoice, up-to-date
rebates and incentives, exact dealer profit disclosed, and
estimated trade-in value. Their advisors will direct you to
an MVCP dealer where the price on most vehicles has been pre-negotiated.
After visiting the dealer, your advisor will double-check
your transaction to make sure you get a fair and correct price
based upon MVCP’s strict pricing guidelines. If necessary,
your MVCP advisor will resolve any pricing errors directly
with the participating dealer.

We're pleased to make the New Car
Cost Guide available as a reference tool for our members who
are shopping for a new automobile. The New Car Cost Guide
is a vehicle valuation guide for new cars and light trucks.
The Guide is published in January, March, May, July, September,
October and November. Each issue provides complete coverage
of virtually every model series on the U. S. Market. The latest,
most current version of pricing and equipment information
for each model series is published in each issue. Each listing
includes the actual factory invoice cost to the dealer as
well as the manufacturer’s suggested retail price for
each model and all options available from the manufacturer.
There's no charge to our members to review the New Car Cost
Guide in our office. To ensure the Guide is always available,
we cannot allow members to remove it from our office.

Payroll
Deduction
If you think saving money is too difficult,
we have the solution. Try payroll deduction. Most people feel
they don’t have the money to save. But financial advisors
say the best way to save is to pay yourself first, before
you have a chance to spend the money on something else. When
you sign up with your employer for payroll deduction, a portion
of your paycheck will be automatically sent to the Credit
Union and deposited into any account you desire – regular
savings, special savings, Christmas Club, Individual Retirement
Account, etc.
Consistent, regular savings are the
only kinds that add up. If you can only start with $10 a paycheck,
do that now. When you see how that works, you’ll find
yourself raising the deduction to $25, $50, or more over time.
With payroll deduction, your money starts working –
earning dividends – right away, instead of waiting until
you get around to making a deposit. That saves you time and,
over time, earns you even more money through the benefit of
compounding of dividends. The Credit Union does not charge
any fees to the member or their employer for using payroll
deduction.

(UBS). In 1967 UBS began combining the purchasing power of
employee groups to negotiate below-market prices. Today UBS
is working with the Credit Union to provide a helpful and
hassle-free experience, offering virtually every model car
and truck at the lowest pre-negotiated prices.
Besides offering the UBS Official Price Book, your Credit
Union can help answer questions about current loan rates,
downpayment requirements and repayment options. UBS helps
by introducing you to a select dealership where a courteous
and professional UBS sales team uses the same UBS prices to
guarantee the lowest price on the car you want. With UBS,
you can receive discounted option pricing and extra savings
with rebates and incentives. They'll even audit your purchase
at your request to ensure you obtain the lowest price available.
When you call UBS, a professional, helpful voice will answer
the phone Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Your
advisor will ask you what vehicle you are interested in buying.
Then your advisor will give you your UBS certificate number,
the name of a trained and licensed UBS salesperson, and the

Western
Union Quick CashSM
Now you can get money fast, anywhere
from coast to coast via Western Union’s Quick Cash
service. With our Western Union Quick Cash transfer
service you can receive funds almost anywhere, for any need,
usually within minutes. Here’s how to request and claim
your Western Union Quick Cash transfer:
- Call the Credit Union and give us your
name, wire transfer password or other identifying information,
the amount needed, and the name of the city where you will
be picking up the money. For security reasons, we may require
you to fax a signed request for the transfer to our office.
- Your funds will normally be available
within minutes after we call the transfer into our authorization
center and they file the transfer with Western Union.
- Go to any Western Union office or agency.
Some are open 7 days a week, 24 hours a day.
- Tell the agent you’ve requested
a Western Union Quick Cash transfer and give your
name and the amount. You'll be asked to provide identification,
such as a driver’s license. You may be asked for the
name of the sender, which is our authorization center, Mid-Atlantic
Corporate Federal Credit Union.
- If you have questions or would like
to locate the Western Union agent nearest you, call (800)
325-6000.
We
charge a fee of $20 for each domestic Western Union Quick
Cash transfer. There is a fee of $30 for international Western
Union Quick Cash transfers up to $500. For international transfers
over $500, the fee is $20 plus 2% of the principal amount
of the transfer.

Wire
Transfers
We offer wire transfer services for
members who need to send money to or from another financial
institution anywhere in the world. To initiate an outgoing
funds transfer, we need the following information:
- Your name, address,
daytime telephone number, account number and amount of money
you want transferred.
- The name, address, account number and
other identifying information (such as social security number,
driver’s license number, etc.) of the recipient/payee
of the funds.
- The name, address, and ABA routing
/ transit number (9-digit number) of the recipient/payee’s
financial institution, including any intermediary institution(s).
This should be specific, including branch information, if
applicable.
- Any special instructions or restrictions
from the sender.
We'll rely on the account numbers and ABA
routing / transit number you provide us, even if they identify
a different party or institution. For this reason, double-check
the numbers you provide us for accuracy. If you don’t
have a pre-arranged wire transfer agreement with us, you'll
be required to sign a Funds / Wire Transfer Request form authorizing
the transaction before the funds will be sent. The service
fee is $30 per outgoing wire transfer.
When sending a wire transfer to us, you'll
need to provide the following information to the sending institution:
